Unprecedented times call for a radical rethinking of how we can be the church that we need to be in the weeks ahead. There is a lot of uncertainty and significant changes for us all on a day-to-day basis, and more than ever, we need to be connected with each other. We are actually quite excited to share with you what we have been planning!
We have a unique opportunity to actually have all of our pastors involved each week in our services! Starting this Sunday, we will be posting our services on line. These will include worship songs, updates from our Pastors, and shared teaching responsibilities This week to be delivered by Pastor Tyler – this will be the first time for many of you to hear him speak! Join us this Sunday morning, and each and every Sunday, at 10:00 a.m. at:Cornerstone YouTube
This content will be available on an ongoing basis if you can’t watch at the designated time. Then think, reflect upon, and pray about what God is showing you, so that you can be ready to take part in one of our virtual communities:
Small Group Digital Communities:
We will be using an on-line platform called ZOOM for our small groups:
If you have been involved in a small group already, these will basically all be continuing through this new format! We used Zoom for our Elders meeting Tuesday night, and, for those of us (5) who are on self-isolation because of recent out-of-the-country travel, it was great to be able to see everyone again, albeit in a new format! It worked quite well!
If you have not been involved up until this point, now is a great time to join a group! Please watch for an email very soon which will outline the groups and times and the process for joining in.
This format will also be used for multiple Prayer Groups, Men’s Groups and the Mom’s Group.
Children’s Ministry Materials, which will include a teaching video for you and your family, will be posted each week on our Cornerstone Facebook page. Please use this material to help keep your children tuned in to God; our current circumstances are a source of fear for them also.
We are all wired for community, and staying in touch will be key to maintaining our spiritual and mental health through these challenging times.
Please watch for 2 further emails tomorrow that will outline how we will work together to care for our most vulnerable in these challenging days!
